The 黑料门University Chicago community mourns the death of Cidney Thomas, who passed in a tragic car accident while at home in Cleveland, Ohio. Cidney was a rising junior majoring in biology within the College of Arts and Sciences.
The College of Arts and Sciences faculty and staff, particularly those that spent last semester with Cidney at the John Felice Rome Center, remember her as full of life, energy, and curiosity. They fondly recall her contagious smile and positive attitude toward fellow students and others. Emily-Paige Taylor, a current PhD student and Cidney鈥檚 discussion leader in her history class last fall semester, recalls, 鈥淐idney was a leading voice in our discussion section. She was confident when speaking in class and had firm opinions, yet welcomed debate.鈥�
