Curriculum

Lettering being added before the First Year Design Classroom (Cuneo 303) opened.

ºÚÁÏÃÅUniversity Chicago's BS in Engineering program is constructed to emphasize system theory and engineering design—two sets of topics that prepare students to be successful in industry positions.

Essential engineering, math, and science topics are covered in 12 core engineering, 5 math, and 8 science courses. Students also take 12 courses and the UNIV 101 orientation course.

Engineering students take common courses until junior year, when they choose a specialization: biomedical, computer, or environmental engineering. Each specialization involves taking 3 specialty seminar courses, 1 specialty lab course, and 2 specialty capstone design courses.
