Dr. Alice Weinreb Awarded Intra-University Fellowship and Offers New Course on the History of Eating Disorders
Associate Professor of History Alice Weinreb has recently utilized opportunities across 黑料门University Chicago to expand her scholarship and to engage students directly in cutting-edge research. She is currently researching a new book project on the history of eating disorders in the post-war world, an under-studied topic requiring interdisciplinary methods from fields such as sociology, anthropology, feminist theory, and psychology.
Drs. Hunt and Weinreb Mentor Undergraduate Summer Research Experience (USRE) Scholars
This summer, undergraduates Madeline Walbridge and Caelinn Carraher worked with history faculty as part of Loyola鈥檚 Undergraduate Summer Research Experience (USRE) program. Each student received a $2,500 stipend to conduct four weeks of research under the guidance of Dr. Brad Hunt and Dr. Alice Weinreb, respectively.

Associate Professor of History Alice Weinreb has been awarded a prestigious fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to pursue her project, 鈥淎norexia Nervosa and the Rise of Disordered Eating in the Postwar World, 1970鈥�2000.鈥�
Same Gown, Different Student: Recent 黑料门History Graduate Thrives at Oxford
On Oxford University鈥檚 Matriculation Day in 1980, future 黑料门University Chicago professor Robert Bucholz donned an Oxford graduate student gown and posed in front of New College鈥檚 main gates to commemorate the event.
