Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) is a federal program designed to reduce the burden of student loan debt for people who work in public service. ºÚÁÏÃÅUniversity is considered a public service employer for the purposes of these programs.

The U.S. Department of Education announced a temporary change to the  rules under the limited PSLF waiver. Now, for a limited time, borrowers may get credit for past periods of repayment that normally would not qualify for PSLF. This includes borrowers with Federal Family Education Loan Program loans who consolidate into the Direct Loan Program by October 31, 2022. You can learn more information by visiting the .

Employer Certification
If you are a current or former ºÚÁÏÃÅemployee and need your full-time employment at ºÚÁÏÃÅcertified for the PSLF program, fill out sections one and two of the PSLF form and make sure you have signed and dated your form and submit the completed request to:

Human Resources will complete section three and email the form back to the borrower. If sending completed forms with SSN, submit your form to hr-payroll-processing@luc.edu via  submission. Do not include your Social Security Number (SSN) in any emails for data security purposes.
